Some great news!
I haven't posted in a while, because this process is a hurry up and wait experience. We were supposed to have an April transfer and that did not happen, because Gretchen did not respond well to her stim medications. In case you don't know what stim medications are, they help to grow eggs.
So we had to do another 6 week cyle to prepare for a May 26th transfer. Well we made it! Gretchen had her retrieval on May 23rd, and they got 14 eggs! The next day we found out that all 14 eggs fertilized. One of the embryo's did not look healthy, so she ended up freezing 7 and left out 6 to grow. On May 26th they transferred 3 beautiful embryo's. One was a morula, which is very good, because normally you do not get a morula until day 4. It has like 16 cells. They also transferred a 7 cell with no fragmentation, and an 8 cell with minimal fragmentation.
About 6 days after transfer, I was shopping in Walmart and I walked through the seafood aisle and could hardly stand the smell! I knew I had to be pregnant. While I was there shopping, I bought a Clearblue Easy Digital pregnancy test. It clearly says PREGNANT OR NOT PREGNANT! So that night I went to sleep and woke up at
1:30 a.m and took one of the tests. Well I must not have peed enough on it and had to throw it away! I went back to sleep and woke up again at 3:30 a.m, took the test and it said PREGNANT!!!!!!
I was so excited, because I really feel God is giving them another chance.
Since we had such a bad experience last time with losing the baby at 14 1/2 weeks, we now are just taking it one day at a time and praying for a positive outcome this time.
The blood test is on June 7th. I willl update more then!
